The first results are felt after the first hour, after the activation of your deep body muscles. Visual changes differ from person to person. For optimal progress and results it is needed to perform pilates excercises minimum of two times a week for at least two months. The more time you invest in “training” pilates the better results you achieve and your progress quickens.
Pilates is suitable for everyone as each excercise is tailored to the present fitness of your body, you can start whenever you wish.
Of course! Pilates actually acts as a booster for other sports activities as it strenghtens your muscles from the inside out, which means that you will have a stronger core and will be able to feel your body more, moreso you will be more aware of your body and what it is doing. You will achieve better results at other sports that you practice.
I advise every newcomer to apply for an individual hour with an instructor and after that make a decision. This way you will get to know your instructor and he/she will be able to asses your body and it’s capabilities and limitations. By doing so you will receive a great basis for further practice and improvement.
